The Chain (book review)

The Chain by Adrian McKinty is a pretty amazing read if you’re into thrillers. The book is filled with action, suspense and drama.

The book starts off with a mother named Rachel, who has a daughter named Kylie. One day Kylie is waiting at the bus stop to make her way to school. All of a sudden, a van pulls up with 2 masked individuals that blindfold her and take her away. Rachel then gets a call on her phone where they tell Rachel that Kylie has been kidnapped, and the only way to get her back is by meeting their demands. These demands include giving them a ransom, kidnapping another child and also getting parents of kidnapped child to do exactly what she has done. They also let Rachel know that she is now a part of this underground criminal operation called The Chain. There are many roadblocks in the way along Rachel’s freighting and unsettling journey to save her daughter.

From my read I felt the book was a page turner from the 1st page. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. All characters in the book are very memorable and really tie the story together. The book is written in such a way where it just pulls you in and doesn’t let go, which is what I really love about it.

I highly recommend that you guys check this book out, if you’re looking for a great read.
